This interactive
small group workshop defined food insecurity and participants learned how to screen for signs of food insecurity. Resources available to help
your patients or residents when they return home were discussed. Ways to help you evaluate your employee’s risk for food
insecurity were presented and methods to advocate for your employees were also discussed.
This workshop was held in October,
2016 and was eligible for 3 general subsequent approval
continuing education hours from the Association of Nutrition and
Foodservice Professionals.
