Dysphagia and Swallowing Problems

 

 

Some people have problems swallowing foods and liquids safely.

 

This interactive small group workshop reviewed the basics of swallowing and the causes of problems. We discussed foods and liquids suitable for people with swallowing problems. Proposed new terminology was also presented. 

 

This workshop was held in September, 2016 and was eligible for 3 general subsequent approval continuing education hours from the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals.
